The Abahoni Building represents a pinnacle of sustainable architecture and innovative design. This 45-story mixed-use tower combines commercial space, luxury residences, and public amenities within a striking form that has become a landmark on the Dubai skyline.

Our team worked closely with environmental engineers to integrate cutting-edge sustainable features throughout the building, including a comprehensive solar panel system and a pioneering green terrace design that creates vertical gardens across multiple levels.

The unique facade utilizes responsive materials that adjust to ambient light conditions, significantly reducing energy consumption while maintaining optimal interior comfort for occupants throughout the year.

Challenge

The primary challenge was to create a structure that would meet ambitious sustainability goals while functioning effectively in Dubai's extreme desert climate. We needed to reduce energy consumption by 30% compared to similar buildings while maximizing interior space usage and maintaining structural integrity in a region prone to sandstorms and high temperatures.

Solution

We implemented an integrated design solution featuring a double-skin facade with automated solar shading, rooftop and vertical gardens for natural cooling, and a highly efficient HVAC system. These elements work in harmony to create a building that exceeds energy-efficiency targets while providing a comfortable, beautiful environment for occupants. The result is a structure that has earned multiple international awards for sustainable design excellence.
